Bunk Beds

Every since we went camping with the Vincents during the summer, (we stayed in a yurt with bunk beds), the kids have been asking for bunk beds since. I finally found one on craigslist that I thought was pretty kid friendly...since the kids sleeping in the beds are 4 and 3. The bottom bed is actually on the ground and so the top bunk isn't too high. The bottom bunk also has a fort and the top bunk has a slide attached. We picked it up and put it together and it was supposed to be a surprise to come back to after Thanksgiving break, but I was just as excited as the kids would have been (if it was a surprise) and couldn't wait, so we set it up that day.

I was hoping Tyrel wouldn't be able to climb on the top bunk. I was pretty sure he couldn't climb up the ladder; but he can climb up the slide if he has no socks on. He loves sitting up on the top bunk and going down the slide. It is a little scary to me since it's a big fall for a little guy, but he is pretty cautious for the most part. One of these days I'll take a video of him climbing up because it's so cute to see such a little guy climbing up the slide.
