Accidents and Sleepovers

So, we had a few accidents this week.  First, Matt was driving home on the vespa in a construction area and hit a ton of lose gravel and crashed.  He got cut up pretty good.  Then, I get the worst mom of the year award for this one.  I was cooking dinner and it started getting smokey, so I opening up the two front windows about 8 inches each, and went back to cooking dinner.  I didn't know that Mikelle climbed up on the couch and onto the windowsill, and then I heard very loud screaming.  She had FALLEN OUT OF THE WINDOW.  Thats one of those things you hear and think, that mom must not watch her kids. I promise I try to be a good mom.  Anyways, she got pretty scratched and cut up.  Luckily she fell in a bush and even more importantly, we are on the first floor.  She was pretty shaken up, and although she looks pretty bad, and people give me double takes everywhere, she is acting her normal happy self.

On a happier note, the Knowles slept over at our house and Boston and Mikelle had an awesome time jumping on our spare beds we put out.  Then Rachel (my sister), and Kaylie (my cousin) slept over at our house while Matt was in Colorado. We had sort of a girls night (with Jonah) and had popcorn and watched the Sandlot and Cinderella.  We sure do get crazy.  They were both pretty fun sleepovers, with not a lot of sleep.  Also, I just wanted to add the video of Jonah and the picture of Mikelle that I think are pretty cute, they don't really have to do with anything, but I have to show off my kids.

Jonah's First Birthday Party

Yesterday we had Jonah's first birthday party. He had a pirate party and it was lots of fun. We had a BBQ, the kids played on the tramp and went swimming, and of course, there was cake.

4th of July

Here's the update:  We are moving to Colorado on August 1 for law school.  Mikelle is 2 and Jonah turns 1 in a few weeks.  My brother came home from his mission in Mozambique, Africa on July 3, so we all had a rockin' 4th of July.  Here's what we did:  we of course had to show Aaron the new four wheelers, so we rode those around in the morning, and then Matt and my dad worked on our broken car, I know, fun; (which works now!) A bunch of us played tennis and then we had a big BBQ with homemade ice cream.  Then, we ended the night with fireworks.
