At the Park

Here are a couple pictures of Mikelle and Jonah at the park

Tyrel crawled all the way in the kids room and was playing in there and Mikelle ran out saying "Mom, come see, I took care of Ty." She had grabbed all his toys, and every blanket and pillow in the room and made a safe little area for him to play in. I thought it was really cute.
The birds that live on our balcony.
Matt kept asking me, "Why are you taking pictures of them, but I think they are cute little birds, a TON better than the huge, messy pigeons that used to live there.

Tyrel is 8 months old

Tyrel is 8 months old today. He is a very fast scooter, he tries to crawl, and does one or two crawls (or doesn't get very far) and then he falls to his stomach and scoots, but he seems happy with that. He is making progress though, he can get back up into sitting position and he is starting to pull himself up on things. If I put him in standing position, he can stand for a little while. He has two teeth now, but one is just barely coming through. He is starting to get really hungry and loves to eat whatever we are eating (ice cream being his favorite), he did love spaghetti sauce the other night though. He loves when I open the back door and put the gate up so he can see and hear outside noises and especially the birds that are always coming and going. He is doing terrible sleeping through the night, but Matt would say that I am a huge contributor to that although I say it is because he is teething. He puts EVERYTHING in his mouth, I feel like I have to constantly vacuum. He loves Mikelle and Jonah and they can get him to laugh easily. He still loves remotes and phones and tries to grab them whenever he can. He still loves sucking his thumb; and NEWS UPDATE: his surgery is rescheduled for June 7th, click HERE to read more if you need up be updated on the surgery.

...another Duff update...

Okay, apparently I feel the need to post pictures from every event in our life, so this is going to be another long one full of pictures.

FIRST...
here was our Sunday afternoon.
Sundays here are always perfect weather for some reason.
so we felt the need to go to the park.

Tyrel LOVES propel
This is what happens when you take it away

SECOND...
here is Daddy playing with the kids.
YES, he taught them how to climb to the top of the slide..
YES, he taught them to pull every couch cushion, pillow and blanket from everywhere in the house and make a HUGE soft mound..
YES, he told them to jump off.

and some Tyrel time, because he too little to jump off for now.

and some Mommy time, Matt said there are not enough pictures of me on the blog.
THIRD...
our LATE NIGHT with Boston Knowles.
It was not a sleep over, but a late night (a term a picked up from my sister)
They watched Astroboy, had chocolate milkshakes, and popcorn
And they all stayed awake through the whole movie and asked to watch it again...SORRY, but no.

FOURTH...
the rainstorm.
I opened the backdoor and put the gate up to let in that fresh rainy air.
They LOVED it, and look at my little Tyrel standing.
(more to come when I do his 8 month update tomorrow!)

and LAST...
Mikelle reciting the first and second articles of faith (excuse the messy hair and food on her face, it was late)

And Jonah's AMAZING counting skills!

Do you feel as though you are throughly updated now? I hope so!

Visit with Grandma Cheryl

Sorry this is a little late, but better late than never, right. So like I said in the last post, my Mom drove back with us to Colorado (initially for Ty's surgery, but it got cancelled so it was just a fun Grandma's week). It was a lot of fun and we got to do a bunch of stuff for free. It was free day at the Children's Museum in Denver one day, I had gotten free passes in the mail to a place called Jump Street, and we went and shopped at Downtown Littleton where my Mom spoiled me rotten. We also did all the 'Grandma tradition' things like make and decorate sugar cookies, sleepovers on the air mattress, and movies. We had a great time!
