Kenzlee is ONE month old!

Weight: 11 lbs. 1 oz. (95th percentile)
Height:  23 inches (97th percentile)
Head Circumference: 15 inches (80th percentile)

I can't believe it's already been one month.  Kenzlee is growing so fast.  She is huge and it seems like she eats all the time.  I know it's a little early to try and get her on a routine but I've been trying to see if she has any sleeping patterns yet, and she does: she sleeps very well during the day and horrible at night!  She still is very tired in the day and has this wakefulness that starts around 6-7 at night and lasts until 1 or 2 in the morning.  She is very restless during this time and it's getting hard to get her to sleep.  I am pretty tired these days, but we sure love her.  The kids have having a lot of fun with their little sister.  They love to help get the diapers and wipes and pick out what outfit she wears.

This is my favorite picture I took.  It's hard to take baby pictures!

I thought these pictures were cute, here is a picture of Jonah with Kenzlee...

Mikelle's birthday Party

I told Mikelle we were just doing a small family party this year since we have a newborn in the house; plus I am just too tired to have a bunch of extra kids over.  I wrapped Mikelle's birthday present and told her she could open it first thing on her birthday, and it was like Christmas for her.  She had trouble sleeping and she woke up at about 6:30 a.m. (on a Saturday) to open it.

The birthday girl and Daddy

We took Mikelle and the boys to the Provo Beach Resort to play in the 'Mega Playground' and go on the carousal.  It was quite the experience.  I told the kids several times that they HAD to have socks to play on the playground and we got there and Mikelle wasn't wearing any socks, so they had to run our credit card for $1. Then, Tyrel got all the way up to this 5 or 6 level playground and couldn't find his way back down and ended up having an accident up there.  Mikelle and Jonah ran down yelling "Mom, Dad, Ty peed everywhere!" (they said it several times), which made us really popular with all the other moms and the employees.   Luckily I had some spare 'emergency' clothes in the car so we put Ty in some size 18 month old sweatpants (I hadn't updated our emergency clothes for awhile), and he had to wear a diaper, which he said felt really weird.  Then we had to buy him some socks since his other ones were soaked in pee, so they had to do another credit card swipe for $1.  They all had a pretty good time though.

 The carousal

Tyrel fell off one of the animals on the carousal and got hurt.

His big pouty face

Playing hard really wears you out!

Then later in the day, my parents came over for dinner and homemade oreos (Mikelle wanted those instead of cake).

Mikelle is SEVEN!

Mikelle's birthday is February 9th.  I can't believe she is seven already.  Time has gone by so fast and she seems so grown up.  She is loving school, especially art.  She joined choir this year and has loved singing in all the different performances.  She wants to be in orchestra next year and play the violin.  She is a very sweet girl and loves to help me out with her new sister, do the dishes, help get her brothers ready.  She loves to help bake in the kitchen too.  She does have a sassy side and is also questioning me, which is a blessing and a curse.  She loves to read and I've been so surprised how much she has improved at it this year in school. She says she loves to spend time with her family and play games like Candy Land.  She loves to go out to the store and out to eat or get ice cream.  She loves makeup and jewelry and she loves to do her own hair now.

I took this one of the back of her hair because her hair goes so perfectly curly (something I've always wanted) and cute.  She got out of the shower and just let it air dry, I didn't put anything in it.

Ty fell asleep early

 About 3 weeks old.

I was taking a nap and Matt was watching the kids and when I woke up, I saw that they had cut up a pickle and made this sign and were trying to sell pickles outside for 25 cents.

We took a picture like this in the hospital going home for each kid.
