Tyrel is four

Some of my favorite (recent) things that Tyrel has done/said:

1.  I was rounding up all the kids to come inside and couldn't find Tyrel anywhere (he also thinks it's hilarious to not answer when I'm calling him).  I ask all the kids to help me look and we are looking all over outside and in.  A few minutes later, he walks in the door carrying two squeeze-its in his hands.  He had gone over to our neighbors house, let himself in (she was downstairs working and didn't even know he had entered), opened her fridge, grabbed the drinks, and ran back over to our house; also leaving her front door wide open.  Needless to say, we've been talking about stealing at  our house.

2.  I was making dinner for a neighbor while the kids were outside playing on a slip -n- slide when Ty walks in the house and tells me he is done swimming.  I help him out of his swim suit and tell him to get dressed by himself because I'm busy making dinner.  He leaves and I'm just in the kitchen busy cooking and I go over to the sink to rinse some dishes off and I see Tyrel hobbling across the street totally naked except for his pillow case.  He took it off and decided to stand in it to 'cover up' with to go outside, rather than actually get dressed.

3.  "Mom, I just like the pigs....not the blankets. I tried the blankets but for some reason I don't like them so I'm just going to eat the pigs, okay." (talking about when we had pigs in a blanket for dinner).

4.  This is the official difference: "Cuddling is for babies; snuggling is for kids and grown ups."

What's your favorite thing to do?  Play with Mom, play outside, go swimming
What's your favorite color?  Red and Orange
What's your favorite food? Hotdogs with ketchup
What's your favorite dessert?  Chocolate chip ice cream
Favorite thing to do with family?  Go to 7 Peaks
What's your favorite toy?  My Diego toys
What do you want to be when you grow up? A dad and a "firework" guy (fireman)
What makes you happy?  Mommy
What makes you sad?  "I don't know"
What's your favorite tv show to watch?  Diego

What do you like to do at school?  Draw stuff

So Tyrel is my little bundle of energy.  He does the cutest little things (like mentioned above) that just make me smile and laugh, even when I'm furiously mad at him.  He has the smallest attention span of anyone I've ever met and he is the most distracted person!  He is very sweet though and is very good at sharing.  He loves playing with his big brother and sister and all the neighborhood kids outside. He likes to swim, although he is a little nervous about the diving board and slides.  He loves super heroes, diego, and legos, catching bugs and climbing trees.  He likes to color and he loves his sunbeam teacher (who is also our neighbor Chandi).  He also likes to watch (and play) Wild Kratts with Jonah.

(He always smiles with his nose scrunched up like that)

Summer Picture Roundup

Here are the last miscellaneous pictures of summer.

(Mikelle started violin lessons a few months ago).

It's always best to ride your bike shirtless with googles.

This girl has become obsessed with handstands.

This is how Mikelle babysits Kenzlee.  She either makes some kind of enclosure...

...or she surrounds her with pillows.

Finally!  I thought I made have failed miserably, but we got some red ones coming in.

Ty and Jonah trying on their Halloween costumes.

Summer Date night to 7 peaks.

Sunset in Idaho.

The kids liked setting this scene up.

I set my alarm to get up and wake the kids up for school and they were already awake cuddling on the couch watching tv together.

BYU scrimmage

We all got our BYU paraphernalia to go to the scrimmage game.

Tyrel was mad about something (I can't remember what), and it looks like Kenzlee is trying to console him here.

Aaron and Kayla came with us.

Coopers Run

Cooper's Run is a fundraiser in honor of a little boy named Cooper who accidentally got ran over by a car.  He went to Learning Dynamics Preschool (where my mom works), so she helps run a booth there.  There is a family fun run and a 5k.  There are tons of kids booths with face painting, balloon animals, games, good, a train ride, and there are the police and firemen there and the AirMed helicopter came and landed there in the parking lot.  It was a lot of fun.

This girl got eyes painted on her eyelids so it looked like this when she closed her eyes.

Camping

We went camping up American Fork Canyon.  We usually go to Island Park, but since my Grandparents weren't coming (they live in Idaho on the way), and we had a lot of different work schedules to try and include in the scheduling, we decided to go somewhere close. While I still love Island Park, and it holds lots of great memories from growing up, I loved this new place and the closeness of it was awesome!  We had our family (which includes a 7,6,3 year olds and a 7 month old baby), Aaron and Kayla's family (which included a 2 year old and an 11 month old), and then Mike, Rachel, and my Mom and Dad; so it was quite the camping experience.  The kids loved it though and we kept busy by canoeing and playing in the Tibble Fork Reservoir, four wheeling, riding bikes and going on walks.  The kids loved exploring through the woods and even found (what they call) Magic Rock (I still don't know why it's named that).  We had some good food and played some fun games...and most of us got some good sleep.  Kenzlee didn't sleep very well up there (her FIRST camping trip btw), and when we came back home, she slept like a newborn (about 20 hours straight, minus time that she woke up and ate, then went back to sleep right away again.)

We played a game to see who could hold themselves up on the bench with their arms, Jonah was the winner of the kids.
