Kid Stuff

Tyrel's favorite things:
His 'blankie' and 'puppy'
He loves to snuggle with these, especially when watching movies
Mikelle and Jonah LOVE Keith's ipad.
Mikelle tells me almost everyday, "When I grow up, I'm going to be a ballerina."
I love this one. Tyrel is 'hiding'. I love how kids 'hide'.
Mikelle with her turtle shell she made in preschool.
Mikelle and Jonah LOVE doing the puzzles they got from Grandma and Grandpa for Christmas. I thought they would be too hard for them to do by themselves; but they are actually pretty good and doing them and love to do them together.

Kid's Pictures 2011

These are the pictures we got taken of the kids. Just so you know, 18 month olds are the hardest age to photograph, the girl taking the pictures kept telling me.
Sorry if they are a little blurry.

This was the best picture of the three of them that we could get. I love it though because it shows their personalities. Mikelle being dressed up and mothering Tyrel, Tyrel is screaming because he doesn't want Mikelle to hold him, and Jonah is oblivious to all while playing with Matt's iphone.
This is the other picture, I had a hard time choosing between the two.

These are just the single pictures

I like the kids taking one picture with their current favorite toy to see how it changes every year.

Mikelle's favorite is her princess barbies.
Jonah loves his Wonder Pets, we never got a picture of Tyrel with his favorite toy.

Updates..

The most exciting thing that has happened recently is that my brother Aaron and his wife Kayla finally had their baby!!! He's a little boy they named Oliver John (John is a family name); he was born January 12th just after 2 am. He is 6 lbs. 11 oz. and 19 inches long. It's so hard to be so far away. They live in Rexburg, Idaho; but at least I know we will see them in the beginning of April, and then they are planning on coming back with us to Colorado for a little while, and that will be SO much fun!

Next, we had Jonah's three month check up with the endocrinologist (growth doctor). I can't believe we have been doing the shots for three months now. Jonah takes them very well at night now. They took his weight, height, blood pressure, and blood sample at the appointment and the results are:

Weight:
Was: 27.3 lbs (1st percentile); Now: 29.5 lbs. (6.6 percentile)

Height:
Was: 35.1 inch (3rd percentile); Now: 36.5 inch (13th percentile)

The doctor was very happy with the results, and for the first time ever in Jonah Duff history, he has gone up in percentiles!!! It will be interesting to see what three more months will bring.

(Jonah, flexing his muscles)
And here are just some random cute pictures I had to add in:
Dress up, they came out of their room like this and thought they were so cute dressed up and holding hands.
Mikelle and Tyrel
A cute one of Mikelle
This is how I do breakfast sometimes. That is a bag of cereal they are all eating in the middle of the living room.

New Years Eve and Day

We spent New Year's Eve in Rexburg and Rigby. We got to go up to Rexburg for a few hours for a baby shower for Kayla. It was fun to drive around and be all nostalgic. I wish it wasn't SO COLD so we could do more 'sight-seeing' and walk around and see the new BYU-Idaho center but it was closed. We did stop by my old apartment 'Royal Crest' and took a picture in front of my apartment door 207 because that is were Matt and I first met. After we left Rexburg, we went to the Barnes's (Kayla's family) house to celebrate New Year's Eve. We had tons of yummy food, played games, made jewelry and all the adults (except Matt, party pooper) stayed up till midnight to ring in the new year; even Grandma Buttercup. On new years day, we took the kids outside to see the Barnes's horses and have a tractor ride. The kids all loved the horses, especially Tyrel. Then we played some music on a set of 21 chimes that my dad made. Pretty fun holiday!

This one is actually from before we went to Idaho, just Rachel snuggling with the kids
This is Rachel and Taylor (a.k.a. Elder Ostler). Taylor used to be a missionary in our ward in Colorado and met Rachel randomly and very briefly when he happened to stop by one time when my family was visiting. He asked for her address and they wrote each other for the rest of his mission. He just got home after Christmas and this is them on their first date together.

Jonah and Kennedy playing
Tyrel, Mikelle, and Kassidee making funny faces through the glass
(sorry, I forgot to clean that when we were getting ready to leave)

For some reason, watching Mikelle help Kennedy sew made her seem so old to me.
