just a few more updates

As most people know and can tell, Jonah is very small. So small that he has actually gone down in height percentile from the 10th to the 1st and the doctor said we needed to see a Pediatric Endocrinologist, a.k.a. growth hormone doctor. In about a month, Jonah has to have a four hour test where they put an iv in, then give him growth hormone and then take his blood every 30 minutes to see if the hormones affect him. If they do, he will have to have daily growth hormone injection shots for the next twelve years. I came across these pictures the other day (just to give you an idea):

picture taken on May 17, 2008 (Jonah was 10 months old)
In the same exact outfit, picture taken June 23, 2009, Jonah is 35 months old
Here are just some cute pictures I took the other day

Birthday Celebrations

For Jonah's birthday, we of course had to keep up the tradition my Mom started by toilet papering the bedroom.
Then Matt took him to the McDonald's playplace and they had fries and ice cream. Then, Matt took him to Walmart to pick out a toy with the money that Grandma Buttercup send him (he picked Lincoln Logs). Then we got ready for his party!
presents, pizza, snacks and cake
(You can find everything Toy Story. We had Toy Story cheese its, macaroni and cheese, sugar cookies, and sippy cup drinks.

I just thought this was a really cute picture of Becky, Kai, and Boston

Jonah and his cake. He asked Becky to made him a Toy Story cake probably a month ago and he has talked about it almost everyday. He was so excited for it.

Jonah is 3!

Today was Jonah's third birthday. I can't believe he is that old already. Probably because he is the size of an 18 month old, (which he really is, he had a bone age x-ray done, and that was the result). He is my awesome little guy. When he is not doing his whiney terrible twos, he is so happy and cuddly. He says hi to everyone and has the most awesome laugh. He loves Mikelle and Tyrel. He comes up to Tyrel quite frequently and gives him hugs and says "I love my brother." These are his current favorites (that I think, I'll ask him tomorrow and see if they match):
movie: Diego, and The Grinch (with real people, for some reason), Toy Story
book: "Panda Bear, Panda Bear, What Do You See", and "Where's My Mummy"
food: cheddar rice cakes, popsicles, yogurt
drink: chocolate milk, propel, "grandma's juice" a.k.a. crystal light
color: orange
thing to do: (sadly) watch tv, play computer games (he is somewhat nerdy), and go to the park and grocery store

11 months Old

Tyrel is 11 months old. He is getting so big, I can't believe that he will be ONE next month. He loves eating, and I love to feed him because he is not picky. He will just eat (unlike the other kids). He did officially sleep through the night for several nights in a row, and although he has had his off nights here and there, he is generally sleeping from about 9:30 pm - 5 or 6 am. It has been awesome. He starts to get really irritated when kids grab toys from him, he grabs it really tight and screams a "mad" scream. He loves watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Baby Einstein, which keeps me sane on those days when he stays up at 5 or 6 am. He is totally formula now, which has been mostly nice; just a little hard on those restless nights. He loves going outside and if I open the balcony door, he crawls SO fast over to it to try and make it out. He also freaks out if I leave, or if I even walk to or by the front door for any reason. And the biggest thing he now does is walking. He talks 4-5 steps in a row, I bet he'll be a pro by 12 months old.

He's so sad, but it's a great picture to see all his teeth

Matt, Sam, and a friend from the ward (Brent Nielsen), went fishing on Wednesday and here are the pictures.

Also, here are some of Tyrel's first steps!

new pictures

Tyrel's fingers are looking great. They are pretty much all healed and the swelling has gone down a lot. It's been two weeks since he got his cast off. Here is his hand:

I tried really hard to get on of the back of his hand. Did you know it was almost impossible to do that. I think the picture is blurry and his fingers are closing, but you can kind of tell:
He hated me taking pictures of his hand. He gave me this sad face, and when that didn't work....
...he resorted to this. Which made it even more difficult.
Movie party with the Knowles
My Mom made cute matching toy story outfits for the boys and I have been trying forever to get a good picture, this was the best I could do.
This was also the best I could do
Matt gave Boston a haircut, don't worry, we didn't leave it like that.
Brothers: It looks like they are the same size to me, just Tyrel is like a giant baby, and Jonah is a tiny little boy.

Also, I have to put this in because I am just so excited about it. Tyrel is now sleeping the whole night through, from 9 pm - 5:30 or 6 am. Then a bottle and back to sleep until 8. This is quite amazing because this didn't happen for the other kids until around 18 months/2 years.
