Pets

For some CRAZY reason, I have been really wanting a pet lately. I don't know why because my life is already crazy, busy, stressful...but I still want one and I have narrowed it down to my top three choices, here they are:
The Puggle
So cute! Cross between a pug and beagle...I already decided his name...Muggles

Small Turtle
Yep, the size of a quarter. My brother had one.

Micro Pig

They are apparently the latest craze in Britain. They are also supposed to be easier to care for than a dog. Mikelle said she wanted one also. They don't get much bigger than this...Matt's response "Then they won't provide much bacon." .sick.

oh gosh they are all so cute! My advice (since I am a serial-pet owner who later gives them away when I get board of them...) Start with the turtle see how it goes- the other two are a lot more work, especially a puppy, but they are all very cute.

Turtles are so cute and easy. A great starter pet. Puppies are TONS of work, usually for the mom. In and out, day and night, lotsa accidents on the floor (not fun with crawling babies). When Matt is gone, you'll have to take all three kids out with you and the pup for potty training a million times a day.
Def a turtle, or three, one for each little one.
Pig looks cute but the country probably would be best for that type of pet. I have a feeling that there are going to be a lot of abandoned mini pigs around real soon when the novelty wears off. sad.

Ooops...Forgot to mention, as I watch my own pup chewing up stuff, that a pup will chew up everyone of your kids' toys. My Annie also shreds every paper she finds. And yes, she has her own bones, toys, etc., but she loves our stuff more than hers. It's like having another baby with four legs and one hundred teeth!
An adult dog who loves children might be better than a puppy. Lots of them at the shelter.
