Park Time

Mikelle got invited to a birthday party at a park in Highlands Ranch (so NOT too far from where we live now, or where we used to live in Littleton.) I have no idea why I have not discovered this park before, it is right behind the library, and I used to go there all the time. It's an awesome park; it has a little stream for the kids to play in and two splash pads and of course playground equipment, and lots of shade trees and a huge grass field and covered picnic areas. I took Mikelle and Jonah to the party and they had a blast. (It is Civic Green Park, just in case you were wondering). I left Tyrel home napping with Matt and I immediately wished I had brought him once I got there. I don't have a lot to compare it to, but I think Douglas County has the best parks!

Tyrel's birthday party

While we were singing to Tyrel, he got really shy and did this really cute shy face and turned around, I just missed the shy face but I kind of got the last part of it:

Happy Birthday Tyrel!

Today my baby is TWO! Whenever anyone asks how old he is, after I tell them, they always say "wow, he is huge;" and that's how my Tyrel has always been. I love his little squishiness and his baby talk. He has really been talking lately too, he definitely says everything in a baby way and I am probably the only one who can understand him, but he's talking! He is so expressive when he talks and it's fun to watch him try to tell me something. He love teasing Mikelle and Jonah, probably more than anything else. He loves getting into trouble. He loves playing with the play kitchen and food set, lately that's all he's been doing (making snacks for everyone - alive or stuffed, and delivering little plates of fake food to everyone and everything around the house and making sure we eat it). He loves mostly anything to eat. I love feeding him because he'll actually eat what I make for dinner. He loves playing at the park, and while we are there, he loves to tease me and stress me out by climbing to the highest point he can get to at the park and then dangling one foot off and calling "mom, mom." He loves horsey rides and says "neigh, neigh" continuously the whole time he is on your back. He love reading stories and playing in water and getting dirty. And he pretty much gets what he wants, he knows he has a sad face that can break my heart, and I pretty much can't say no to.

I tried really hard to take some pictures of Ty outside, it was hard. He refused to smile willingly, I had to catch him in a smile.

I thought it would be easier to take pictures on our deck, so we went up and he just stood like this and when I asked him to turn around and smile he just said "NO."

But he finally came around

Mikelle took this one. As soon as I gave the camera to Mikelle, Tyrel fully cooperated and just sat there smiling; then when I took it back, he was stubborn again.
