Today Tyrel is officially 18 months old; which also means he can go to nursery (for normal kids, we have been unofficially sticking Tyrel in nursery for a month now, ever since the ward split and people didn't know us), but now it is legal! Tyrel is my good little baby. He eats very well, as you may notice. I love feeding him because he will just eat whatever I give him. He sleeps really well. He takes a 3-4 hour nap, and sleeps about 11 hours straight at night (unless he is teething, which he currently is, then he wakes up screaming at about 3 am). He LOVES Mikelle and Jonah and wants to do everything they are doing. He has to be a big kid like them. He loves going outside, going on the slide all by himself and swinging. He has a bit of a mischievous side to him. He loves to bug and tease people as well. For example: Running up and randomly smacking Jonah in the face, bending all the blinds, throwing his food off the table; just to name a few. He is still a mommy's boy, but does get very excited to see Matt, so I am a little afraid he might switch over, at least I still have Jonah for a mommy's boy if that happens. He still doesn't say a single word (actually he used to say 2 words, but now he doesn't say those, so it appears he is moving backwards), but he does know several sign language signs like milk, more, hurt, apple, all done.
Some of his favorites:
Food: bananas, pasta, hot dogs, pickles, ice cream, cereal
Things: His blanket, pillow, and stuffed puppy in his crib
Drink: Milk of course, and he is constantly flashing me the sign for milk
Tyrel also has a sweet tooth (like most kids I assume) and loves all sorts of candy and desserts. He likes to try on all the shoes at the door, and when we get the dress up clothes out, he is in heaven. He is starting to like coloring, but still eats the crayons sometimes. He loves to get all the pots and pans out of the kitchen and hide them all over the house. He likes to do dare devil type stuff. He will climb on top of the bunk bed and teeter over the edge and yell till he gets my attention and just laugh at me when I get him down, then he does it again. Actually, he loves climbing on everything and I've given up trying to stop him. He has his 18 month doctor appointment on Friday, so I will put up his stats then.
These are some pictures I took at the park. 18 month olds are very hard to photograph and very unwilling to cooperate, this is the best I could do:
***And in other news, JONAH IS OFFICIALLY POTTY TRAINED!!!
