Girls Trip to Midway

I didn't take a lot of pictures of our girls trip, but we did have a lot of fun.  We got Grandma Buttercup to join us and we stayed in a resort hotel in Midway.  They were having Swiss Days that weekend (it's a huge craft fair type thing), so we mostly shopped, ate and swam in the pool.  We had to take the two babies but it was nice to get away and take a break for awhile, and my Dad and Aaron even came up for several hours to watch the babies so we all could get aways without any kids for awhile.

We stayed at the Zermatt Resort and had two rooms that connected to each other.  It was almost like an apartment.  We had a stocked kitchen and living room and bedrooms.  Lots of fun!

Tyrel got this large baby doll when he was little.  He absolutely loved it and named him Mason.  Mason has become a loved toy at our house, and it's continuing with Kenzlee.  She loves to play with him.

First Days of School

Mikelle started second grade at Cascade this year.  She has Mrs. Redford.

Jonah is in Kindergarten, but he also takes a KE (Kindergarten Enhancement) class at Learning Dynamics with Mrs. Hardman.  This is his first day of KE.

And my little Tyrel started school for the first time.  He is in preschool at Learning Dynamics with Mrs. Herrera.

Tyrel is still easy to get gifts for.  I got this Diego rescue railroad for $15 at a garage sale (it costs over $100 new! just fyi), I actually got all his gifts at a garage sale and it worked out awesome.  The only problem is that the railroad tracks came all jumbled up in a big box, and I waited until about 11 pm to set up his birthday gifts.  I had no idea how it was supposed to be set up or where all the animals where supposed to go (I'm sure he didn't care if they were in the right spot, I just wanted them there), so it ended up being a late night.  I searched online for about 30 minutes trying to find out the 'right' way to set up the train and animals.

We started a tradition of the gifts opening up all their birthday gifts as soon as they wake up in the morning, kind of like their own little Christmas, so it had to be perfect for that morning.

We also tp the birthday person's room (something my Mom did for us growing up too).

Ty wanted a cookie dough cupcake, it was a yellow cupcake with cookie dough frosting.  My favorite of all the cupcakes I've made so far!

After all the big kids left, Kenzlee loved being on the water blob by herself!
